Abstract

Nanotechnology has been growing rapidly in recent years, prompting researchers to explore novel methods to develop more robust and stable nanoparticles, as well as more scalable, time-efficient approaches for synthesis and mass production. Precision pharmaceuticals aim to produce medicinal products tailored to each individual's specific genetic information, age, weight, preferences, and other factors, and to design them in ways that can be facilitated by new technologies that streamline screening and testing procedures. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a technology that enables the rapid and accurate processing of large datasets to predict trends and generate design recommendations. The application of AI in nanoparticle and formulation production requires the use of specific AI tools to achieve more robust and reliable results. This review presents the recent literature on AI-based pharmaceuticals, focusing on AI models currently applied in the field. The work may be helpful to researchers trying to select a specific model from the diverse array of AI tools currently available. © 2026 The Authors.
