Abstract

Cleft lip and palate are facial anomalies of infants who have a multifactorial etiology. Prenatal diagnosis of the cleft lip and palate can be made using prenatal three-dimensional ultrasonography. Surgical management of cleft lip is usually performed during the second to the third months of life. Millard technique or rotation advancement technique is the most common technique used for surgical repair of cleft lip. Cleft palate repair is usually performed using two-flap palatoplasty. © The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.
