Abstract

This chapter starts with an introduction to the epidemiology of skin cancers and skin immune system. Then, the role of tumor immunity, immunosuppression, and inflammation in skin carcinogenesis would be discussed. This is followed by a brief discussion on photo immunology due to UV radiation which is known as an important risk factor of skin cancers.
