Abstract

The emergence of cutting-edge dental materials is a direct result of the proliferation of nanomaterials. To meet patients’ rising expectations, clinicians have started utilizing this new generation of dental materials. Research on bionanomaterials in dentistry has been ongoing for quite some time. Bionanomaterials in dentistry are used to re-create teeth by mimicking their natural physical structure. There is a wide range of bionanomaterials dental uses, from restorations and root canal treatment to tissue engineering and maxillofacial surgery repair. In modern dentistry, damaged or diseased tissue may be regenerated using bioinspired materials in nanoscale and less invasive procedures. Dental biomimetics employing bionanomaterials and procedures utilized to implement it, are the emphases of this chapter. © 2025 selection and editorial matter, Shakeel Ahmed; individual chapters, the contributors.
