Abstract

The aim of this research is the removal of COD and color from the solid waste leachate using graphen oxide. Different effective parameters on adsorption such as contact time, adsorbent dosage and initial pH were investigated. Results showed that the maximum removal of COD at pH =3.5 and contact time 30 minutes received to 64.7% and the maximum removal of color received to 55.5% at the contact time 30 minutes, initial pH 6.5 and graphene oxide dosage 5 g/L. Isotherm models including Langmuir and Freundlich was examined and result showed that experimental data are more fitted with Langmuir model with R2= 97. Additionally, pseudo first order and pseudo second order correlated were obtained to kinetic study of adsorption and results showed that pseudo first order had more accuracy with experimental data with R2= 91. © 2016, International Journal of Pharmacy and Technology.
