Abstract

This chapter explores the social-ecological model and global action plan on physical activity (GAPPA) in improving physical activity strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Individual, interpersonal, environmental domain, and governments are the main required aspects to promote the physical activity level by applying a whole multisystem approach. Changing and promoting strategies and action plans are the main challenges of policymakers and related organizations to enhance the level of physical activity during or post pandemic. Applying social media and virtual space is essential according to pandemic control regulations. The strategies to create active society, people, environment, and active system are required to be adapted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2023.
