The Editor-in-Chief is issuing this Editorial Expression of Concern to alert readers that Fig. 3 in this paper appears to have been published previously in an article with common authors (Arab et al. 2009), where it is presented with a different scale bar and colouration. Readers are advised to interpret the data presented in this article with caution. Amir Ali Shahbazfar and Mohammad Abdollahi agree with this Editorial Expression of Concern. Hossein Ali Arab and Ali Rassouli did not respond to correspondence from the publisher about this Editorial Expression of Concern. Seyed Hossein Mardjanmehr is deceased. © Springer Nature B.V. 2024.
