Abstract

Iran steadfastness on the path to independence after Islamic revolution in 1979 has not been tolerated by global imperialism. The pretense that Iran is advancing a nuclear program has been used for sanctions against Iran in decades. In recent months, coordinated Israeli and US airstrikes hit Tehran and other cities, in which damages of public and health infrastructure including hospitals, schools and transport corridors have resulted in tragic human toll. The airstrike on Shajareh Tayyebeh School in Minab, Iran, resulted in the martyrdom of about 170 children between 6 to 12 years old in February 28, 2026. It is claimed that artificial intelligence (AI) has had a main role in target selection. Regardless of whether this claim is true or not, the use of AI in military decision making has raised many concerns which should be addressed by all those for whom humanity matters, especially bioethicists.
