Abstract

Extracardiac rhabdomyoma is an extremely rare benign tumor that may exceptionally present in the genital region of pediatric patients. Among reported vulvovaginal rhabdomyomas, genital-type is the most common histopathologic subtype, mainly affecting middle-aged patients. We reported the first case of urethral rhabdomyoma in a female child, exhibiting histopathologic features consistent with fetal-type rhabdomyoma, which was meticulously excised to preserve urinary continence and prevent functional complications. We discussed the differential diagnosis of interlabial masses in young girls while providing a comprehensive literature review regarding urological manifestations of fetal-type rhabdomyomas and essential steps for the successful management of similar cases. © 2026 The Authors
