Abstract

Probiotics have become increasingly common within the past few years, owing to their benefits on human health. These are the strains of bacteria and yeast that are administered in the form of food products and supplements to provide lost-health benefits. They can also ameliorate symptoms of numerous diseases and provide protective effects against various pathologies. This review highlights some of the most frequent gastrointestinal problems in children and the therapeutic and preventive role of probiotics against them. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.
